Thanks for dropping in!
The Collingwood Community Gardens were founded 43 years ago in 1979 by Turkish and Greek immigrants.
Until last year, they were lovingly tended by gardeners of all ages with Greek, Hungarian, Italian, German, Fijian, Tongan, Iranian, Yugoslavian, Turkish, Irish, Portuguese, Norwegian, Scottish, English, Macedonian, Dutch, and Native Canadian backgrounds - together with a diverse mix of reptiles, amphibians, birds and bugs.
On February 14th, the Collingwood Children’s Farm management began destroying them forever.
On behalf of the thousands of hands that have worked its precious soil, and the thousands of hands we hope will work it in the future, we’re not going to let them get away with it!
But we need your help!

A Picture Tells A Thousand Words
An ‘independent consultant’ for the CCF (who is now a vocal member on the Committee of Management) once claimed the Community Gardens were ‘dysfunctional’ in an effort to justify their own vision for the site. Here are some photos from before they locked us out. What do you think?
